Dr Siegmund Johannes
I am a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in Private Practice for the past 22 years. My main practice is located at Olivedale Clinic in Randburg, which is part of the Netcare Group. On alternate Fridays I also consult in Mediclinic in Welkom and Anncron Hospital in Klerksdorp. I completed my pre graduate basic medical training at the University of Stellenbosch.
Training
There after I completed a diploma in anaesthetics and a diploma in midwifery at the college of medicine of South Africa. I did a full surgical training at the University of Stellenbosch before joining the Plastic Surgery Department at the University of the Witwatersrand for my Plastic Surgery Training. I completed the fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the College of Medicine of South Africa in 1994. After completion of my fellowship, I worked as a consultant at the Johannesburg Hospital before going into private practice in 1995. I regularly attend local and international conferences to maintain and stay abreast of the latest trends and cutting edge procedures.
Clinical Interests
I have enjoyed the full spectrum of Plastic Surgery throughout my career. I perform the full range of aesthetic procedures which include non invasive office procedures including Botulinum toxin, Hialoronic fillers and laser treatments. I also do reconstructive procedures and treatment of skin conditions, including skin cancers, moles and other growths. My latest area of surgery is hand surgery including digital joint replacements, contracture releases, nerve entrapment releases, hand fractures and others.

Research Interests
Along with Dr Hans du Bruin and Dr Peet van Deventer developed the internal mesh bra concept (Breform) and did international training.
